The Inn at Longshore has an illustrious history. Built in 1890, Longshore was originally a private estate turned country club until the Town of Westport purchased the land in 1960. Before it opened to the public, Longshore played host to a steady stream of celebrities and notable public figures. Prominent families like the Rockefellers and the Roosevelts, F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe were all part of Longshore’s storied past.
