People ask us how we shot the Penny and TJ wedding especially the introduction “Red Carpet” entrance. First off, this was done 2 weeks prior to their wedding. We spent about 1.5 hours shooting it, but 16 hours of planning the shoot. We treated this as any film we would produce. We started with a concept/idea and then moved on with getting permission to use the locations. After that, we storyboarded the whole introduction from beginning to end.
What do we mean by storyboard? We animate the characters and make sure we complete a blueprint of our shots and how the story was going to pace. Once that is completed, our director would have a base to be creative on the day of the shoot.
The reason why we don’t want to post our rates up is because this isn’t something you go into a store and buy a “story”. It’s not like a photographer’s package where you can pick the albums, the amount of pictures you want edited, and etc. The way Live Picture Studios operate is by getting to know you! Our service is to understand who you are and figure out a beautiful story to tell. Yes, there are some technical things that goes with our service such as if our service comes with a highlight film, same day edit, engagement shoot, film length, and so forth. Those are explained after you pick up the phone and we start introducing one another. We figure out what exactly intrigues you and then figure out what the best options are for your budget. It’s more important to us that we have some interaction before we get down to the technical things. We like you to get to know us as well!
If you are bride looking for video, but don’t know what to go for, maybe Live Picture Studios can help with your decision process. A Cinematic Wedding is a storytelling film. Whether the storyteller tells your story through images or the mix of speeches, images, and music. The film is shot very differently where the Cinematographer will more than likely shoot in short clips. Why the short clips you ask? It’s because they are shooting to tell a story, not just document every single minute of your wedding day.
We at Live Picture Studios consider ourselves very different from other companies. It’s sad to say that for most other wedding companies, it is a business transaction. You put the deposit down and you don’t hear from them until 1 or 2 weeks of your wedding. It sounds discouraging but it’s unfortunate that most places run their business that way. They sell you on their products, emotions, and make you put the deposit. Once that’s done, it’s like a personality change. How many of you wedding couples looking for photography or video have experienced that?
