Okay, so you’ve gotten your wedding video from your editors and, hopefully, you’re blown away! It somehow perfectly captures the spirit and atmosphere of the day and brings you right back to the excitement of it all. So, you naturally want to keep watching it, and watching it, and watching it, again and again.
Next, you’ll keep showing it to friends and family members over and over until, eventually, you’ll just have to stop. Either that or find some great excuses to throw it on again, which is exactly what we’re providing you with today! Don’t worry, you can thank our veteran wedding videographers of NYC and NJ later.
It goes without saying that your 1-year wedding anniversary will absolutely be a great excuse to rewatch your wedding video once again. If you’ll be celebrating the occasion with friends or family members at some point, then that’s the perfect time to gather everyone together to watch it, no matter how many times they’ve already seen it.
However, you don’t actually have to wait until your 1-year anniversary or any set time to rewatch it really. Think about it, every single day is technically an anniversary, whether it’s your 6-and-1/2 month anniversary, your 3-week anniversary, etc. The point is that you shouldn’t hesitate to use anyversary as an excuse to watch and show off your video again.
Revisiting Old Friends & Helping Newlyweds-to-Be
One thing most weddings have in common is the fact that there are at least a few guests who have traveled from pretty far away to attend. Sure, sometimes there are more than a few and others none, but if you’re part of the majority then that can be an easy excuse to rewatch your video with some friends or family members who didn’t travel too far to come to your wedding.
Think about it, all you have to say is that it’s been too long since you got to hang with those guests who live far away. So, why not throw on your wedding video? That way, you can see the guest in all his or her glory at your celebration. Just assure your “audience” that it’s the closest thing to actually seeing your distant guest(s) in person!
On top of that, if you have any friends or family members who are getting married in the near future, then that’s another great excuse to watch your wedding video. Whether they need help finding the right wedding videographers or just want to get a better feel for the wedding-day experience, watching your video can’t hurt, right?
Make a Game of It!
Okay, so this is more of a way to incentivize your video watching than it is a good excuse to watch it, but it can still help to get your friends or family members to agree to watch your video again with you. All you have to do is make a game out of it. For example, you could create a drinking game and all drink when you hear certain words or phrases or see certain things.
It doesn’t have to be a drinking game, either. However you can do it, the point is that giving people a reason to rewatch your wedding video besides the simple fact that you really want them to can make the whole process a lot easier. And in the end, you still get to experience your big day all over again with those you love!
When all else fails, just beg!
Just kidding, although if you’re close enough with the people whom you’re trying to get to watch your video, then it shouldn’t really take much more than that. Regardless, though, you and your partner can always just rewatch it on your own whenever you want. There’s no excuse needed to do that!
