When it comes to doing wedding photography NJ style, there are so many options, from the hustle-bustle of the cities to the more serene park and country settings. It really just comes down to what you and your partner want.
So, if you’re looking for some extra lovey-dovey locations to take your pictures, then just like any state, ours has plenty of options, and our New Jersey wedding photographers have been to them all. Read on to learn about a few.
The New Jersey Botanical Garden in Ringwood
Located within Ringwood State Park in the Ramapo Mountains, this wonderful 96-acre park and historic manor provides a fairy-tale wedding setting. It just doesn’t get much more romantic than this.
Whether it’s the dazzling interior of the Tudor Revival mansion showcasing Gothic and Renaissance-period architecture and its rolling lawns and stone terraces, or the acres of botanical gardens, everything here is pretty much picture-perfect.
Being here truly is like living like royalty for a day, and that kind of attitude will affect your confidence, which will affect how you look in your wedding pictures, in a good way.
Liberty State Park in Jersey City
Like mentioned at the top, Jersey offers both the modern, flashy cityscapes and the more natural, serene settings, but few spots in the state, or anywhere for that matter, offer such a stunning mixture of both as this bayside park.
Liberty State Park’s got the quiet park atmosphere and scenery complete with boats bobbing up and down in the nearby harbor as well as awe-inspiring views of the Statue of Liberty and NYC skyline, all of which make for some super romantic backdrops.
On top of all that, there are two spectacular wedding venues located in the park: the Liberty House Restaurant and Maritime Parc. Our New Jersey wedding photographers have worked at both plenty of times and can tell you that it’ll be a tough decision, but you won’t be disappointed either way.
The Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth
Much like surfing, you don’t have to be a fan of nor participant in the sport of golf to appreciate the beauty of its playing field, and the absolutely gorgeous Galloping Hill Golf Course is a testament to that.
Trust us, if you time it right and schedule your wedding photo session for somewhere close to dusk, you’ll find yourself in one of the most romantic settings you’ve quite possibly ever stepped foot in.
Then there’s the Clubhouse, which offers an entire second floor dedicated to wedding events, a grand stairway, dramatic entrances, and a magnificent ballroom, not to mention its super romantic lakeside ceremony area.
Branch Brook Park in Newark
While this gorgeous park offers offers scenic views of a lake, hills, and streams, it’s the famous collection of cherry blossom trees that really sets it apart and makes it one of the most romantic spots anywhere in the country.
Branch Brook Park was designed in the American romantic tradition by the co-designer of Central Park in New York City, so again, it’s not just about the trees, but they are a sight to see.
And again, one of the state’s best wedding venues is conveniently nestled right in the park. Trust us, you really can’t go wrong with Nanina’s In The Park, and you can get an idea of what we’re talking about from this video highlight.
Our New Jersey wedding photographers know romantic spots, and these are some of the best!
Now, some is the key word there, because our state has far too many beautiful, super lovey-dovey spots to offer to fit into one post. But we hope these options either get you there or pointed in the right direction, at least. Good luck!
